Drawing is the foundation of all my work and thinking. From doodling on the back of a phone directory to detailed studies of buildings, drawing acts as a quick versatile tool to enhance my understanding of this crazy world.

My drawing usually takes on an Andy Goldsworthy approach by way of finding and using different elements and materials that I happen to stumble on and use these to create something completely new and exciting. Some day's I may use pencil and paper other day's I may use charcoal with stick's, masking tape and turps. Like with my painting work I feel I get a lot of freedom with what I am doing.

I use drawing by way of letting mistakes happen, being expressive and letting the work go its own natural way even if by the end ink is halfway up the wall and is making a bee line for that nice cream carpet. It's half the fun of being creative, especially if after working you walk around all day not realising that you have a nice black smudge just under your nose..! Genius..
